CCIPChainlink CCIP
Cross-chain messaging and token transfers
The Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol: a message and token transfer layer between chains, secured by Chainlink's oracle networks with a separate risk management network watching every lane. I worked with Chainlink Labs on CCIP and ERC-677 transferAndCall conformance across the smart contract deployments SWIFT was evaluating for tokenized assets, and on the cross-chain prediction market execution infrastructure that carried $153M a day. It is the piece that lets collateral on one chain back a position on another, which is the whole Gether problem.
Connects to
- Chainlink Labs. CCIP conformance for SWIFT and the prediction-market execution infrastructure were the Chainlink Labs work.
- Gether. Collateral on one chain backing spend on another is the Gether problem.
- Oracles & Cross-Chain. CCIP is how a fact or a token crosses chains with an oracle network vouching for it.
- Chainlink Fulcrum. Fulcrum settles cash and collateral across chains over CCIP.
- Solidity. The contracts on both ends of every CCIP message.
