FLCRMChainlink Fulcrum
Institutional collateral and repo across chains
Announced September 2026. Fulcrum is Chainlink's end-to-end platform for institutional financing and collateral management across public and private chains: the first cross-chain repo flow that separates the venue where the agreement is managed from the networks where cash and collateral settle. Counterparties pick eligible assets, set terms such as no rehypothecation, and settle on any supported chain, with the position watched and acted on around the clock, built on CRE, CCIP, and Data Streams. Citi puts about a quarter of institutional collateral idle at any time from settlement cutoffs, roughly $346M a year in lost revenue for a Tier 1 firm. That is Gether's problem at institutional scale: capital sitting in an asset that cannot be spent or borrowed against without selling it. I am watching it closely and building against the same stack.
Connects to
- Chainlink Labs. Built on the stack I worked with at Chainlink Labs.
- Gether. Idle collateral at a bank and idle collateral in a brokerage account are the same problem at different sizes.
- Credit & Collateral. Fulcrum is collateral management and repo, which is credit against assets.
- Chainlink CCIP. Fulcrum settles cash and collateral across chains over CCIP.
- Chainlink CRE 2.0. Fulcrum is built on CRE 2.0, CCIP, and Data Streams.
